    Yes it happens - my Mazi a black Copper Maran layed 2 beautiful dark chocolate eggs today. For those non believers . . . . There are 8 hens in theIraq coop and she is the only Maran - retrieved 9 eggs today. She is an over achiever for sure!

    Ok Blue Baby I have seen the same type only a 9300 series at our local TSC store. It has the egg turner located right there with it. There happens to be a Pro Series Digital Circulated Air Incubator Model 4250 sitting next time it . . . Are you familiar with this style?

    Thank you junebuggena. This cross is one of 2 ways I am possibly thinking on trying in the Spring. Now I know what color the eggs will be. On another note I wonder what the chicks would look like if you crossed Black Jersey Giants hens with a Barred Rock rooster? Would all offspring be barred?
