Hi everyone, I sold off my flock to a nice lady in August on KSL, and was having some trouble contacting her. I just wanted to let her know that if she needed any help in the event of a chicken emergency she could give me a call and I would be happy to assist. No pressure, only if she felt...
I was talking to some friends about that show "Little People Big World", and accidentally referred to the smaller cast members as "bantam humans".
Whelp.
Anyone else have experiences with chicken on the brain causing a faux pas?
Oh, thank you dawg53! I think I was confused by the recommendation to not feed the Trifen-plus with food and thought that applied to other non-paste medications as well for some reason. Oh well, now I know .
I have tried my best to follow the instructions given here and elsewhere for giving liquid medication: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/886914/how-to-give-a-chicken-liquid-I, but no matter how hard I try I cannot get my chicken to stop squirming free from my hand. I tried the "wattle...
I read somewhere that its recommended you don't feed your chickens before and after deworming for a certain period of time, but I can't remember how long that was (?). I am getting ready to use the Trifen-Plus tablets specifically if that makes a difference.

Oh, I thought that you just wanted to know where I live so that you could see if I was close enough to offer me syringes, and while I would prefer to buy both the tubes and the syringes from the same place for simplicity's sake, if it came down to it, I can actually get the syringes pretty...
Yeah, I think I will just have to try the DIY method until I can find some proper supplies like everyone keeps suggesting and see how it goes. Thanks.

I am not sure. She is still super skinny, and wont eat out of my hand unless I force a lump of mash in her mouth which is really slow going. She's just not eating enough. I asked a couple times elsewhere if anyone knew where to find tube feeding supplies, but most responses are just shrugs...
Hey, not sure if anyone saw my original post, but does anyone know how to get tube feeding supplies around here without a prescription? I just need some
syringes and catheters, but whenever I try to buy them I have to cancel my order only to be told I need a prescription for a piece of tubing...
