    I'm sick of my bully hens

    I'm glad that I'm not the only one with problem. One of my hens got pecked so bad that her guts were hanging. We had to put her down. At first I thought it was my rooster doing until I caught my RIR. I heard an old wives tale about putting black grease on their backs. Has anyone ever heard of this?

    I wonder if it is the time of year for this...I never heard of such a thing until I seen it for my self and logged on here. Seems everyone is getting these X large eggs.

    Mine have been laying for about 3wk now and it is typical to get large double yolk eggs, but when I got this one out tonight, I couldn't believe it. At first, I thought is was a duck but that is impossible. This is compared to my large double yolk egg.

    I just walked outside for a minute and there was my he standing in the driveway with an egg under her. When I went to pick it up, the shell was soft. Is that normal at first? I put the egg and her in the nesting box...hopefully she will get a clue. Thanks

    My hens are now 4 1/2 months old. When should they start laying eggs? They are free range during the day and I have watched them to make sure they are not nesting somewhere else. I'm getting anxious. And tired of my eggs and chicken feed. Help

    What to feed my ducks?

    I have a 4mo and 3/1mo olds and they are free range eaters and I also give them chicken feed with my chickens. They are all happy and healthy. Good luck

    You're not alone. I'm having the same problem. When I put them in their pen for the night, I have been physically putting a few in thier box. They seem interested at first and get comfy, but I'm not sure how long they stay in after I leave. I just keep hoping it will work. good luck
