    Soft eggs

We have 4 hens including her. I’d say she’s at the bottom of the pecking order but they don’t pick on her. She’s last to the food and the others are more assertive. We feed layer feed with oyster shells available. They have plenty of room; large coop, a maybe 10’ x 20’ run and time in the yard...

    Soft eggs

I recently asked about a soft shell layer that I have. She started laying a couple weeks ago so my first thought was that her body was adjusting. Now she’s laying an egg every day and they are still soft shelled. I added oyster shells about 5 days ago. It’s been hot here? But the last day or 2...

    Not a RIR?

I thought I had 2 RIRs but am not sure on the one anymore. One’s a bit darker with green iridescent wings. Her comb is also not as pronounced as the other and they are the same age. They are 4 months old now. Sorry I don’t have the best pics of her but she’s the one to the left in both photos.

    10 week EE gender

Hello! Wondering anyone’s thoughts on my 10 week old EE. We have another (the photo bomber) that’s a roo for sure but this one I’m unsure of. Thanks!

EE and RIR sexing Q plus one unknown chickie.

Hi all! I’m new here but have read LOTS of posts. I have my suspicions but am wondering what you think of our just over 5 week, EEs and RIR as far as gender. I’m also not sure what kind of chick our sweet grey (hoping girl) is. Any thoughts? Thanks!
