This is an old thread, but I've been looking for this for 4 years. I had a ton with vision problem but eyes were not small. He produced a tom with even worse sight. He doesn't breed which is good. I haven't noticed that his site has gotten worse over the years but he definitely is worse then his...
I am doing this now with a poult. Did yours eventually heal up? If so how long did it take. I have drained the air out of poult a few times but it fills back up. He acts fine but looks aweful
It's now 4/19/2020. She wears a bra now. Seems healthy but I have read enough to know that it is a crop issue. The bra seems to at least hold it up. Before the bra she was wearing the feathers off her chest by roosting at night.
I have 2 young easter eggers. They laid pretty blue eggs for about 3 months and now the past 2 months I never get a blue egg. Can they change the color of eggs they lay? I have 2 olive eggers so there are usually 2 green eggs everyday & I have several Marans. Except for the 2 green eggs daily...
I know, right!! It worked for me too..I have had to learn more than I ever wanted to know about chickens. Treated and cured bumble foot, treated and cured leg mites (Which was worst thing ever because it took a long time). Learned about roosters and broody hens. Much more than I ever wanted to...
I also have a hen that had to have a spa day. She had a nasty looking butt. I had to really work to get all the stuff (not sure what it was matted around feathers) once done she looked like the picture. Not sure if I ripped out the feathers trying to clean her up of if she was already bold.
Rosie is 8 months old and has always had this huge breast? It goes down a little, so I thought it was a full crop. She is a greedy lil hen. But none of my other hens look like this.
I just google easter egger and by golly...my rooster looks just like him including the grey tuft of feathers. Thank you! I was thinking something was wrong with him. He seems healthy and he is a very nice roo. Both my roos are nice.
They were hatched at same time, but out of a dozen variety eggs I purchased. I just thought they looked alike up until they were grown. They could be different breeds. I actually would love to get some easter egger chicks! Thanks...very interesting. Can you see where his wattles should be? Its a...
I hatched out 2 roos 6 months ago. Both are handsome boys but one has big comb & wattles and the other has tiny comb and where wattles should be is thick short grey feathers. I think they are blue copper marans. Where is my roosters wattle?
Someone is crowing out there. 9 week old chicks. Also not sure what kind of chick this is. I bought a dozen fertile eggs for a broody hen. Variety pack.
