    Thanks for such thorough information! I have a stumbling silkie, and am trying to,find out why. I have no new chickens, but I did notice mites. I have to tackle the whole flock. **sigh**

  9. A curious gander, spying on my while I weed. Pond in progress in the background, and a pile of cement that will be surrounding the pond. There is a cement mixing pan on the right side, you can see the corner. I fill those, then when they are nice a poopy, I dump them and water my Hydrangea with the water. This gander is Charles, a Sebastopol, who favors Christmas-a Pilgrim. I kept their child, MisMatch. Diana was dumped, she is another Sebastopol.

    They need to stick the whole beak in, so nipples would be an issue. I like the small cement mixing tray you can get from Home improvement stores. Big enough they can actually bathe, small enough that it is not that much water. I tend to fill it 2-3 times a week, based on how messy they make it...

    After searching for an easier solution to the kiddie pool dumping and getting sun damage......I found it works to use cement mixing pans found at lowes and home depot! I have two small, and two large. Extremely easy to dump, easy for them to get in and out, and so far the sun has not damaged...
