    Might possibly happen. Better to separate one with eggs like i said. Enduce her to lay on them since she cannot free range.

    Try seperating your buff orpington ( good broody) in a pen to her self with some eggs.

    thank you. i hope to have a great vacation. although i do have to take some work with me . And of course lots of pics. These are gonna be beautiful birds. Lavender, Cuckoo, White Orps. Blue laced red wyandottes. And Coronation sussex

    Thats exactly what i wanted to happen. Im going on vacation the week of hatching. Poor planning on my part i know. But now the hens will take care of them, so no worries for lock down. When i get back i will have lots of chickies.

    thank you, im actually really grateful this happened. im going on vacation that week and day 18 is in the middle was going to have friend stop the eggs and put water in. but now i can just let the hens do the work and when i come home there will be lots of chickies.

    Day 11. By this stage the developing bird is very obviously a chick. You'll also be able to see the tiny egg tooth' (used to chip through the shell at hatching time) developing on the beak. Only ten days to go!!!
