    The girls seem to like it, they are usually in a pile in a corner. Also a one gallon glass jug with water at around 160f 71c warms the space even when cold. Have yet to see a morning the water was even close to freezing.

    We have bears, cougar, fox, bobcat, coyotes, martens, snakes, roaming packs of hunting dogs, and feral cats. We got the girls used to sleeping in the box and it works. So we decided to continue it.

    Our girls sleep in an elevated box closed at night. We are in the mountains and night is not safe .

    Going to put the nesting boxes below the roost area, ;the cut out on the sides is the overhang of the roost area. Nesting boxes below are 12x13x13 30x30x33cm.     Hi, new to chickens this year, currently building a new home for them modifying a 12x8 shed. We have 4 now, and may add more. I find them hilariously funny and endlessly entertaining. The cats think they are dinosaurs, I suppose.
