    Breed and sex?

Hi. Hatched this chick from an egg about 12 weeks ago. Any idea of breed and sex? Thinking leghorn and rooster.

Hatching on vacation - separate coop or run

My broody hen is due to hatch chicks while we are on vacation. Can or should I make a temp coop inside the big one? To separate mom and babies? Can chicks drink out of a nipple? Does mom need access to the outdoors, if she has water and food? I can post pictures, if it helps.

My chickens are eating BAD things

At least once a week I have to take something out of the beak of one of them. Silicone, old balloon, you name it. I don't even know where they get this stuff. It's like having 9 toddlers running around. I would encourage them to catch and eat mice however.
