    The feed store told me my chicks can't have Cocci because I got them at 3 days and they have been inside, in a new brooder and haven't been exposed to any other birds. Is this true? They have been on medicated feed since I got them.

    Thank you! I just called the feed store, and they said since the chicks were 3 days when I got them and never around any other chickens since (new brooder box etc.), they should not have gotten Cocci. Is this true? It's probably another cause of death they said. They do carry Corid if I need it...

    Since I am not sure this is why the other chicks died, should I wait to give until I see signs? If I do dose them, Should I switch feed just to be safe? I don't want to kill them

    New to chickens! We started with 6 but have lost 2. I'm concerned now I may lose more. The others were healthy in the am and dead by bedtime. I'm feeding medicated food but still concerned they could have Cocci. They are two and three weeks old now.
