Review by '' on item 'Orpington'

We have had our Buffs for just over 2 years their production is good. Hearty birds they can handle the winter well and keep laying. Come when they are called keep the garden clean of bugs, not party animals ( they go to bed at night ) not like the ducks who stay up till they get locked in. An...

    Can Chickens Hatch Ducklings?

Our broody Buff Orpington is raising her second batch (2) of ducklings first one was (4) I have found this is the easyest way to increase the flock, not that we need more but need has nothing to do with it.

    Black East Indie duck

Robocluck I gather that your BEI's always return home? I have been afraid to let mine out since I bought them in case they just flew off. Does anyone else let theirs fly freely? It would be great to not have to cover the pen and garden. I have the first tiny egg from the younger of my two...

Bantam ducks in a wire floor cage

Will a Bald eagle go after a chicken?

I'd love to see those pictures. We live on Vancouver Island. Shortly after getting our chickens I was working in the compost box and heard something. I turned around and here is a Bald Eagle with his back to me about 1 foot off the ground, wings extend and leaving. He was right outside a...

Review by '' on item 'AXT Sliding Door for Use with VSB Automatic Poultry Doors'

AXT VSBb automatic chicken door is easy to install about 15 min. Works great batteries last a long time can use with plywood door or comes with an aluminum door. Mine has never failed and I have never lost a chicken to coons, mink, or anything else.

    Silkie Duck Thread

I've never seen a Silkie, could someone post more pictures please, perhaps even a close-up of the feathers. Do the black Silkies have the iridescence of the Cayugas and the BEis? I have just bought a Trio of BEIs but upon closer inspection of the drake I find he has a lost of brown especially...
