I once had a sick hen who had respiratory problems and I brought her in the bathroom in a cage in the house so I could have a small area. I used UNactivated OXINE AH blowing from a Fogger about 2 ft in front of the cage for about 15 minutes per day for 3-5 days. She was cured and went on to...
i've been using 3-1/2 TBLSP / QT. or 50ml/cc per liter to fog my hen for respiratory problem I've been dealing with for almost 1 yr. no one else has it so I think it's fungal. I've tried antibiotics over the course of the year. Other than that, she's fine, laying, eating, tail up.
Yes, the 4 corners of the coop are cedar. I'm suspecting that my problems could be related to a fungal infection.
I have another hen who has been breathing raspy. I tried several things, then got a Fogmaster Jr. and Oxine AH and treated her and it seemed to get better. Now, it's back...
Gosh, sorry for the delay. Took me forever to figure out how to insert this picture. Hope it comes through.
And it folds over this area. So I had to lift it up in order to take the pic. The other side is fine, with the exception of a few spots where the roo holds onto her.
Hope this...
Not sure what type hen she is. I've had her for about 14 mos. she weighs 4.35 lbs. I might add that I bought another hen at the same time. They were young pullets and weighed the same; however, the other hen is almost twice as big. She seems healthy as far as alertness, eating, and active...

thank you so much for asking. I had to make the decision to put her down on Monday. She was a tough little girl though. But she was barely hanging on and it appeared that I was only prolonging the inevitable. She was so weak, she couldn't even stand. When I picked her up,, she couldn't even...
I'm still taking it one day at a time. I'm not seeing any improvement with Louise. I said goodbye to her tonight in case it's God's will for her to go. About 6 months ago, she developed a cyst or something on her eye. I have treated it with Vetrx and, seeing no results, I later treated her...
Hood morning, Kathy.
Me again.
Update.
The worst of the 3 hens, I believe, may be at death's door. She's laying in "that" position. Partially on side, with one leg stretched out. Yesterday, I hand fed her with food and water. I brought her inside where it's warmer than she was outside...
