    Rat Problem

    We had a few rats tunneling under coop with patio paver floor. Pulled it up, put in larger stone and sand, same thing. Pulled it up second time and poured concrete...take that you dirty rat! Rats still around, just not getting in coop, so made a mixture of sugar, corn meal, and plaster paris...

    We are sorry for your loss, never easy to lose one any way, but especially to a free loading predator. Just baffled by a few that question the fact that A - You caught the perpetrator B - It left olfactory evidence C - You caught a second one... ...I agree with the way you disposed of the issue...

    Rooster behavior

    Newbie here. Marengo Illinois. We have 12 rir we picked up in April as chicks, 2 roosters, 10 hens. Coop is 4 x 8 inside barn, with 10 x 27 outside run. Coop in barn was over $500 in material alone, would have been $500 more to steel side it for outside. Awfully expensive eggs! Just to be clear...
