They all have straw bedding in their coop that I freshen up daily, but outside is very icy by their water basins, so he's been walking on that for a while which maybe isn't helping. Final update #3! In case anyone was curious what the healing process looked like, it hardened up really fast and is now looking good. I didn't have to do anything and it healed up on its own while I kept a constant eye on it. Thanks so much for the advice on here! I appreciate this community's...- biscotti

Update #2 in case anyone was curious! I sent a few of the photos to his vet yesterday for their input, and they said it looks like it's going through the healing process and seems pretty healthy at the moment which is a relief. They told me to keep an eye on it though, and if anything changes...- biscotti
