I'm new to caring for goats. My Nigerian Dwarf doe recently had a kid. At what age do you wean kids from their moms?

    Where are the bees?

That's terrible. I just brought home my first hive and bees. We have fairly mild winters here, so hopefully, it won't be hard on them. My problem is that we are in a severe drought here. They seem to be finding pollen, and I fed them on Sunday. Crossing my fingers.

Hello from WNC. Chickens, bees, goats, rabbits

Chickens, goats, and just recently, bees! I'm very excited! No rabbits (except for the wild rabbits.). I'm in The Texas Hill Country.

Boy...that's a bummer. So far, my chicks are doing well. Hopefully, I can keep them safe once they move into their coop.

    Lets talk about goats!

Thank . Thank you! Yes, I do have a place to keep the buck separate. My wife (who is a vet) has horses, so we have a great barn and we have a gelding that has been with goats before. If that doesn't work out, I'll get a wether to keep the buck company.

    Lets talk about goats!

I just got my first two goats only a week ago. I have two Nigerian Dwarf does. Soon, I plan to get a buck. I'm very interested in making yogurt and cheese with the milk.

    Where are the bees?

They've been all over my peach trees. I haven't used any pesticides here in years, though. I'm getting my first hive in May. I keep adding fruit trees and blueberries, so I thought I'd try my hand at bee keeping (not to mention, I eat a ton of honey!) ;)
