That's terrible. I just brought home my first hive and bees. We have fairly mild winters here, so hopefully, it won't be hard on them. My problem is that we are in a severe drought here. They seem to be finding pollen, and I fed them on Sunday. Crossing my fingers.

. Thank you! Yes, I do have a place to keep the buck separate. My wife (who is a vet) has horses, so we have a great barn and we have a gelding that has been with goats before. If that doesn't work out, I'll get a wether to keep the buck company.
I just got my first two goats only a week ago. I have two Nigerian Dwarf does. Soon, I plan to get a buck. I'm very interested in making yogurt and cheese with the milk.
They've been all over my peach trees. I haven't used any pesticides here in years, though. I'm getting my first hive in May. I keep adding fruit trees and blueberries, so I thought I'd try my hand at bee keeping (not to mention, I eat a ton of honey!) ;)
