Your camera is too close. It’s not instant from triggering to picture so you need enough space that the critter can trigger the pic and still be in the pic when it’s taken. Also trigger speed is worse when it’s cold out :)

Yes he’s a giant for a Canadian bull; Alaskans can be bigger but not by much lol. Moose can be really good...if it’s a younger animal. Mine was (is!) as tough as an old shoe. The flavour is great but it needs to be in a slow cooker for 10+hours

Thanks! Yep he’s mine - my first and quite possibly only. He’s just shy of 63” :) I was happy to say the least, and it was an epic hunt

Well I cheated this time and bought a body for it, so it mounted a little quicker than I’m used to lol; he’ll be in the drying room for 5-6 days before I do the finishing on the head and feet, his toes are pretty bad right now and I haven’t decided if I’ll leave them or rebuild them, it’s mine...

Spent Monday working on this guy: yep I love them! They’re all rideable, and trained to pull; I started logging with my stud this winter and he seems happy to be doing something other than eat lol

So I spent my Monday on this guy, he’s been in the freezer for about three years now and I figured it was time:

What did you do in the garden today?

Wow she’s gorgeous! If they’re pets I don’t want to offend, but what are the eating qualities like? Are they just for show or could they also go in the freezer?

Here’s my 2020 flower selection; I’ll probably pick up a few trays of cosmos in the spring; I also ordered “cherry pink” nasturtiums off Etsy so we’ll see how that goes...they better be pink and NOT red!!!

I wish! I don’t think there are pure przwalskis in private hands anywhere in the world. I have Norwegian fjords; I bought the last of the breeding stock from a retired breeder and got two more mares from someone else last year. My first foal is due in April, the other two mares should be...

What did you do in the garden today?

Yes I definitely know what will survive, we don’t have county agents or extensions or anything like that in Canada; I always do my research before going shopping, I’d never rely on greenhouse people for their “expertise” lol My chief problems to date have been moles and sun canker on my poor...

What did you do in the garden today?

That chart is awesome! All winter I’ve been planning and dreaming about an area of the yard that’s an unused, blank slate. I’ve got a ton of apple trees now, so it’s time for some other fruits...I have space for five, and I’m thinking plum, peach, cherry, pear and...? Subject to availability at...
