You didn't give their ages nor if they went thru an autumn moult.
They will lay when their bodies have recovered from their moult, if they did. This process normally takes 4-8 weeks. It is also possible that they will not much until spring. This all depends on so many factors...

Ok its been about 5 months since I started with my chickens. I have two RIR and one Americana. They have been great to work with. Easy to feed, water, and clean. I got my first egg last night. It looked like one of my RIR's. It was small.

The family and I went to sonic last night to get so ice cream. It was dark by the time we got back. I had put them in there coop at dusk for the last 3 days and blocking the door. When I got home I eased on out to the coop with my flashlight and they were inside. So it works...

Thinking about one of those solar panel kits I saw at Harbor Freight. Comes with a panel, converter, and a light. Just need a 12 volt battery.
Well I guess I will just keep putting them inside at night. I dont have power out at my coop so I dont know about a light. They do have 8 windows in the top of the coop that lets a lot of light in during the day so I dont think that is an issue. It crazy to me that they would rather be cold...
