    Coop and run bedding ?

    I would use DE in the bedding. That should kill them. If I were in your situation I'd burn current litter, sprinkle DE, then mix DE into new bedding. I have never dealt with termites personally though so there might be a better way. Good luck

    Coop Window Direction

    Coop and run are done (or so I thought) and chicks are doing well in the brooder at about 3 weeks. A friend of a friend just offered a free 2'x2' window and recommended installing it facing East for the morning sun. What is everyone's input on window direction? Is East best?

    We are raising chickens for the first time. I have a little background from helping out with other people's chickens but other than that this site has been my educator. Looking forward to learning more as I go and passing my hard lessons to future newcomers.
