I moved my broody to a rabbit hutch to lay and hatch her eggs. It is in the main coop. Once they hatch i plan to keep her and her chicks in there for the first few weeks. Then depending on how all the hens/chicks are behaving with each other I will let them out of the hutch.
I crush one garlic clove and put it in our 1 gallon water jug for the chickens. Garlic is a natural anti-biotic like was said before. I have yet to taste garlic in the eggs. My wife is a baker and uses our eggs and has not tasted any garlicky flavor. Maybe if they ate a whole clove of garlic...
She's in a rabbit hutch within an enclosed run. She has water and food in the hitxh where she would have to move to get to it. They are both in measured containers so I could tell if she was eating or drinking.
