Confine him to a separate cage to reduce further injury
Gently clean any wounds with antiseptic, check for swelling or heat, and apply a splint with vet wrap if the leg appears broken. Provide supportive care, including easily accessible food...
He is just resting after a 10 minute drink Bart was gasping by the time I got him out of the chicken pen and into a separate cage.
He is now relaxing and ready for dinner
Yesterday a fox attacked my favourite rooster Bart and he has’t been able to move his head since he can move his legs and stand up but his head is limp and I’m worried he can’t eat of drink!
