    Getting started in Southeast Louisiana

    I have finally acquired 4 hens, but I have only gotten 1 egg in almost 3 weeks. However, I plan to be patient and wait for things to get better. Nevertheless, I am hoping to get 1 Ameraucana or Araucana hen. If you know where I might get one, please let me know. I live in Slidell.

    Yes, I have been checking craigslist for about a month. However, I just got the coop and the fencing set up this past weekend. Most of the people who have what I am looking for on craigslist don't answer their phones or their emails. Very frustrating! Many people are selling gaming chickens...
