    Your baby chicks are so sweet . The fact that you can't have a rooster amazes me. If one or more turn out to be roosters I'm sure there are people out there that would love to have one. After all there would be no chicks with out a good old ROOSTER!

    get some rat traps and put peanut butter on the traps and you will get rid of a lot of them that way. Just don't put them in and around your chickens.

    (Not a dire emergency, but need advice) What to do for my flock and the heat?

    I use the empty water bottles the same way you do. I think its a great idea, they don't melt as fast as ice cubes.
