I also keep pigeons, chukars and pheasants and although I have seen a couple of people get sick, and it's a bad "flu" I very seldom wear any breathing protection. I have heard that histo can also be an issue but I've only ever heard of one person whom got that illness.

Growing up, I daily took out to the chickens a 3 gal slob bucket for my grandmother in the 50’s and 60’s. Everything organic went into that bucket from potato skins to coffee grounds to meat. They kept over 100 meat and egg chickens and those girls ate it all.
