    Bresse Chickens

    I have just got two young Bresset chooks. I saved them from the table! They are still young and have not developed their combs and wattle yet. I live in Jersey in the Channel Islands .....close to France. Sorry but I can't tell u what they taste like but I was assured they are delicious

    Well one of my Banty's laid their first egg yesterday. Not a clue who it was but it's tiny and so cute! Was great seeing two eggs in the nesting box :-D Have not had any trouble with them laying outside the boxes.

    She is a light blue :-D I got her with my first banty's. She keeps all my ladies in order lol! I'm not sure bout killing ur own livestock over here. Never really thought about it! They look a bit boney lol! She is Def my fave!

    Ha ha! Have threatened my Banty's with the pot too! All over 6 months and still nothing lol! Winnie continues to give me an egg every just over 24 hours.i did have me first egg on the counter for a while, admiring it every day! But I just couldn't resist. .......yum yum :-D

    I spoke to someone last night who has had chickens for years and she says it's still a thrill seeing them! I too was thinking that I may not get an egg this year as the nights are drawing in......so what a lovely Christmas pressie! So nice to b able to share in all your joy :-D

    I measured it against a lrg free range bought egg and it wasn't much smaller. It was amazing to see it laying there! Knew it would b soon as she has been doing some nice squatting for me :-D I have even been playing them the chicken egg song from you tube ......sad I know. Now its the Banty's...
