    Bear!! SOS

    We were just woken up go a big black bear breaking the door to the coop. we scared it away with a paintball gun and yelling. Any thoughts on whether the paintball gun did the trick? or should I look into a security system or whether it may try to come back? it definitely was on top of the fence...

    Need tips on adding to flock

    First time chicken owner. Had 8 pullets, now 14weeks. lost one to a huge opossum the other night. I am debating adding 2 17week old chickens from our local Farm supply store. what do I need to do to integrate them? or how long does it take?

    New to the site!

    I am in North Jersey and we are looking to start a chicken coop. I am in the market for 5-6 chicks. We would love to get them locally instead of online to supper the local agriculture. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
