    Swollen Face

Thank you for responding! She is indeed pale. I adopted her as a pale gal and she's remained pale ish for the past 3 years. I checked for mites and found none. I will recheck in the ears just in case.

    Swollen Face

Thank you for responding! I have not introduced any new birds. She does not seem to be exhibiting any signs of a respiratory sinus infection nor do I see any bubbles in her eyes or mucus in her nostrils. As of now I do not see any symptoms other than the swelling.

No, she seems to be her normal self. She's eating, running, and talking like she usually does.

    Swollen Face

Thank you so much! There seems to be no signs of a bug bite. I checked her ears and there doesn't seem to be an infection either. I was thinking it might be an injury but I'll continue to monitor her

    Swollen Face

Hello everyone I noticed that my 3 year old bantam hen has some sort of swelling behind her eye. She is eating, drinking and pooping normally. She is acting like her normal self. She is breathing regularly and has no mucus. The swelling feels airy. There doesn't seem to be anything behind it...

    Small impacted crop

I'm so sorry to hear about yours. I think she may have sour crop due to the smell. I'm not too experienced in treating sour crop so I would suggest you search it up on BYC. So far my hen is doing good. I fed her raw egg and eventually cooked egg everyday. I also messaged her crop routinely. I...

    Small impacted crop

Thank you so much! I've messaged her crop and given her oil but I noticed that she isn't digesting the liquid in her crop it just stays there. I checked for the typical sour crop smell and it didn't smell like it. So now I'm confused as to what this can be. I'll continue the crop message and oil...

    Small impacted crop

Hello everyone, I have a 3 year old bantam who seems to have a impacted crop. Yesterday I noticed she wasn't acting like her normal self. She went up to her food bowl but didn't eat. I removed her food and only left her water since I suspected a small impacted crop. Today I was able to confirm...

    Possible Egg Bound

Unfortunately she passed away the day after she laid the egg. I'm not sure what went wrong, she was fine after she laid but she passed away in her sleep. It wasn't disease since she was a very healthy hen up until her death, maybe a heart attack? Thank you for your help though, I really...
