Thank you! I think I’m just paranoid because I can’t have a roo here and they’re such a funny little creature. I’d hate to have to give it away or cull it.
It's the same "girl". Ms. Priss, the Lavender Orpington. I'll try to get better shots in better light in another week or so. I will say, there's really not a lot of color to their combs yet, but like you said, they're young.
Hi all! The Littles are now 6 weeks old. I’m hoping they’re all pullets. I know it’s early but I’m interested in hearing opinions. Not the best pics, they were very busy trying to eat the phone. 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you @HappyClucker7 and @rosemarythyme. They were quite content with very full crops last night. Hahaha!! They're going to get a day off from treats today, much to their chagrin. In fact, I'm currently getting the stink eyed stare down from my Lavender Orp.
Hey all, the Littles have started get a small handful of meal worms as a treat, they're so excited when the back comes out. However today, I wasn't really paying attention to what I was doing and about a LOT of mealworms came out of the bag, probably a cup and half. Will this be detrimental to...
@Brearune Welcome!! I'm a newbie too. I have 5 four week old chicks, whom I've nicknamed The Littles(yes, they all have individual names...LOL). I'm so excited to take this journey. Everyone here has been so kind, patient and knowledgeable!
I wonder what she is then!! She's a bit of a bully. Hahaha!! The other ladies are starting to put her in her place though. They're slowly working out the order.
Thank you!! I think they're adorable, even if they are rapidly approaching their "teenage" period. I think Rosalita(pullet(?)) in pics 2 and 5 is my Barnevelder. Blanche(no. 4) and Big Booty Judy(no. 6), I think are Speckled Sussex. I'm curious to know what y'all think.
Hello all!! My littles are a week old now and are starting to "dust" bathe in their aspen shavings. Should I get a little bit of dirt from where their run will be so they can get acclimated to the soil? They are on medicated feed, but have access to Corid, just in case.
Thank you(in advance).
So obviously the grey one is the lavender Orpington. The light buff one I’m pretty sure is the Easter egger, her cheeks have little muffs. The top left, I *think* is the speckled Sussex. Bottom right, I *think* is the Barnevelder. The big booty Judy directly above the Orpington is the mystery chick.
