    Adams Run here, 30 miles south of Charleston. 4 Rhode Island red hens, 3 Easter eggers, 1 rooster ( unsure of breed), 6 large white meat bird turkeys ( going into the freezer this weekend). Oh, and 13 chicks that are 2 weeks old (mutts…aka mixed breeds)

    I just use a heat lamp with a red bulb that I buy from my local Tractor Supply, works great and inexpensive.

    Incubator Fell from Auto Turner and New Incubator Recommendations

    I currently have the Nurture Right 360, holds 22 chicken eggs, with an automatic egg turner. I love it so far.

    I have a Nurture Right 360, and I put a single drop of food coloring in my water that I fill cup A. The colored water allows me to watch the level in the channel in the incubator. I only fill it about 3/4 of the way up.

    Whether its a chicken or a duck hatching, i usually just leave them alone in the incubator to dry up and get fluffy. Ive had to leave a couple of newly hatched chicks for 6-8 hours in the incubator for them to get dry and fluffy. Then i will put them in a brooder. They dont need water or food...

    If any state, during the winter, experiences cold temps with a “-“ sign if front of the temp; too cold for me!
