I found some plastic rubberbands in the hair stuff section at Walmart, there are 3 different sizes and all different colors, I put the smallest ones on my chicks, I have found 2 or 3 on the ground under brooder though, but the were $3 something. The pipe cleaners are a great idea.
I have my garden fenced in, but I had to put another fence around all my tomato plants, everytime I picked a pretty red or even pinkish tomato, the bottom was eaten out, I even put some of those plastic owls in my garden, it scared them for about 30 minutes, I'm constantly having to go run them...
Hi Cali, I live in Liberty Hill, and I just put some 2 week old chicks out in our brooder in the yard, I sure wish Texas would make up it's mind, I hope we don't get any more freezes.
Hi everyone, so excited to see some of you are near me! My husband and I have had chickens for 25 years, we have had game chickens, and now we have game and layers, I have Barred Rocks, Production Red, Rhode Island Reds, and a few mixed breeds. It's nice to meet all of you.
