    The silkie is close to a a year , and the hen is a little older . I feel like that breed of hens are little mean or at least the ones I have had were fiesty.so no matter how long I keep them together she may not submit?

    Just put one of my aracauna hens and my silkie roo in a breeding pen together , she is kind of mean and he is pretty docile will she eventually get used to him and let him mate with her ? Has anyone tried breeding a hen that has an attitude problem with a not so mean roo ?

    I recently got 3 amerecauna pullets from someone and I noticed today that one is limping and favoring a leg and a lot smaller in size , picked her up inspected the leg no signs of a sore that would cause bumble foot , nor did I see any other causes and when touching the leg she doesn't show...

    Thank you , for the information . We actually had 10 birds living in there comfortably . I will let the next person decide how many birds can fit as 2 to 3 birds can use 1 box . BTW edited my title so there won't be anyone else like you correcting the amount of birds that can fit in this coop.

    Iso butcher near Terre Haute, IN , having a hard time finding one , finally got a hold of one and he has a 10 bird minimum , and we have only 6 cayuga ducks we need butchered but would have to pay 55.00 for the 6 . Any help with a reasonable butcher around this area would greatly help:D:woot

    I have about 9 cayuga ducks that are ready to be sexed and am looking for a local butcher . Have tried Google called around , not to many leads . So hoping someone can point me in the right direction :)

    HI EVERYONE me and my husband are new to chickens . We started pur journey in April . We are enjoying the birds very much , we have 11 ducks and 18 chickens 🐔. We are to the point where we are collecting eggs supper exciting .:thumbsup
