Adorable! Maybe check the unhatched eggs with a candler. You should see slight movement and the chick should fill up most of the egg. If so, give it a few more days. Lots of chicks hatch late.:jumpy

You might be able to straighten out the toes by flattening your chicks foot and rapping something, sort of like a cast around it. If all goes well, then your chicks foot should heal into a

Barred rocks start laying earlier but I have had both breeds and none of them have ever gone broody.Sorry I can't think of any breeds that start laying early and go broody but do a little research because theres got to be some.
