    Good to know, thank you! I thought I read in this forum that if you bred blue to blue you would get 50% blue and 50% black.

    I have a blue birchen rooster and a blue birchen hen. I bred them together and hatched about 40 eggs altogether. Out of all those eggs the chicks are all black birchens except for one, just ONE splash. I'll keep trying and also incorporate the splash and black birchens when they start laying.

    What rooster breed is this?

    Just got this rooster for free the owner said it was a salmon faverolle, which obviously it’s not. So can anyone tell me what kind of rooster it is? Maybe a welsummer, or black copper maran?
