We have a BBW with bumble foot. We were able to get some of the infection out but there is a lot. I'm going to start treating her with bactracillin G benzathine Penicillin G procaine and I need to know what the dosage per pound is. It is the injectable kind. Thank you.
I was given a couple BBW turkey's the other day and they were hatched I believe in November. I have a tom and a hen and they are both as sweet as can be. They are also HUGE and were raised for the local livestock show here. The tom had some laser thing done to his toes and he walks ok but pretty...
Yeah 98-99 now. I have one hole near fan and heating element and two holes on front door that slide open and closed. What's the trick to raise humidity? All doors closed? Half open? 46% is highest I have so far with 3 pans of water on the floor of the cabinet.
I don't know for sure, I have never seen a big cabinet incubator before. On the bright side, she's holding steady at 99 degrees so that's good. Humidity is slowly climbing and reads 43% which I believe is close to where I need to be. Here's a pic of stat installed.
Thanks Caite! I will check pet stores. I only have 7 goose eggs viable out of 9 so it's no where near full. Temp fluctuates from 99 to about 94 every few minutes. Vents are closed and humidity is high, though I don't know exactly how high. Lol
I figuered out the temp control ut this thing is still hard to regulate. Where can I get a good hygrometer? They sell em at wallyworld? Or maybe lowes? My goose eggs start their lockkdown itonight.
I would love the manual for one of these. I sent you a PM Caite. I won't be turning the eggs I have now, they are goose eggs and today is the last day for turning. If I can get this thing up to temp I will finish out this geese hatch.
So in picture one and two there is a hole in the cabinet that seems to have an adjustable screw inside. I think the knob was broken or removed. On the backside of this hole is the thermometer probe. In between the switches is something but I don't know what it is.
