    getting hens to lay in nesting boxes

    Mine just started laying and she lays all over the run and sometimes in the nest box. I have the fake eggs and the whole thing too. I just think she may not know yet when the egg is coming? Either way, Im just happy to have an egg!

    This morning I decided to check the nest boxes before work, not really expecting anything. I opened the box, counted the plastic easter eggs and did a double take.     My BA was never mean but also never let me near her. Now that she has started squatting, she loves for me to pet her. She has become very friendly.

    Still no egg for me but i noticed after I came home from work that my BA's face was so red that it just can't be much longer! Can't wait for that first egg!
