    HUGE Chicken

    I posted a few weeks back about a HUGE chicken we had. I separated her from the other chickens, Gigantia (as I had named her) began to decline at about 10 weeks. Before I could get her to the vet she passed. The grandkids and I burried her under the pines. I've watched the rest of the flock...

    I have 2 Buff Orphingtons, one bantem, 3 silver laced Wyandottes, 3 leghorns, 3 "asian" breeds (they'll have to get just a tad older for me to identify) and two barred rocks.

    New here

    I'm BrendaLou, 65 years old and raising a new flock in rural Jordan, Minnesota. My husband said I could raise 6 chickens and so of course my flock consists of 13 hens and one rooster! He managed a commercial chicken ranch with 100,000 birds in college. We had a lovely flock for about 25 years...

    Giant feet and legs

    One of my new flock of 15 has huge feet and thick legs. She is a leghorn and when i got her i assumed she was just a week older than the other tiny chicks i bought. She grew much faster than the others and when the other chicks still had pleanty of headroom in the brooder she had to bend down...
