    Thanks for the info. What a disappointment. These were advertised as White Leghorns and we've been treating them as such. Now my wife and I are in a tough spot because they've become pets. So upset.

    I've got ten chickens and two were supposed to be White Leghorns, but we got them at the feedstore. I've since learned that the feedstore isn't the ideal place to go. Long story short, we're worried these might be meat birds. They grew twice as fast as the others, and now they're wobbling...

    Welp, the answer was "Pheasant Back." They smell like watermelon when cut open (and no other mushroom does, making them easy to identify). They taste like nothing, really, but they're fun to pick and fry up. Maybe that one was a little tricky; maybe I'm the only one who likes mushroom...

    It sounded to me like herrds's husband just mowed over it once, and that probably wouldn't be enough to kill it. I was more or less offering hope for the mother's surviving one. But I'm still impressed you were able to get rid of yours without digging! Nice! You've stopped mowing the area...

    I wouldn't be surprised if the rhubarb came back. Once it's established it's nearly impossible to get rid of.

    hint: they typically grow on deal elm trees, during spring. I found these morel hunting. You can positively identify them by cutting them open -- they have a very distinct and familiar smell. They're edible, but not incredible.

    It's difficult to tell without seeing the berry mature, but if I were to wager a guess -- or at least err on the cautious side -- I'd say it could be buckthorn, which would be toxic if eaten. I would not allow the little ones to consume. Again, it's hard to id any plant with just a couple...
