I have talked to several people but never get a definitive answer! She is frozen now but when I start to thaw to eat, we will cut off the wing just to be safe.
As we were processing our first meat birds (chickens, we've done ducks before) we came across this on our bird. Thoughts? Btw, cone method was fantastic!!
Thanks for the advice! They have lots of fresh water, I change it daily for them to swim in. They are also fond of our ditch but I have 7 baby pools for their delight too. I don't see any mites, etc but was just playing it safe. I will add the BOSS, I use it on the goats & sheep so whats one...
My two female muscovies are losing their feathers. They are wormed and I have been putting the Sevens Dust on them thinking it was mites, no response. Thoughts?
Has anyone ever seen this kind of lump before? She hasn't laid eggs in a couple of years, its not hard and its red and warm underneath. No maggots or any bugs. She doesn't act like anything is bothering her. Thoughts? Have you ever given antibiotics IM?
They are swollen, no maggots or broken skin.It is starting to drag on the ground, warm to touch. She doesn't seem bothered by it. Any thoughts besides separating her in a cage. Can you give ducks penicillin IM? If so how much? Thank you all for your guidance!
So are the clear goose eggs working for the duck eggs? I bought the foam white jumbo from eggcartons.com and my eggs are still too big. I have muscovies & pekins. Just want to double check before I order.
Thanks.
