Giving away the last chicken standing

Good luck with your sneaky bear. As for us, we found a new owner for our last chicken. She has a new girlfriend to live with now.

Giving away the last chicken standing

That would be sweet Pam, thank you. I'll keep this thread up-to-date. Molbak's is one of my favorite places here in Woodinville. This was last summer - A couple bears hanging out in our backyard, close to the coop.

Thank you! She must still be growing. I believe it takes two years for them to be full grown.

Giving away the last chicken standing

Greetings. We have had problems with bears trying to get into our chicken coop and finally a successful break-in happened last week. Results: 2 dead chickens and 1 survivor, unharmed. The bears are recidivists so we want to give the last standing chicken away. She's a one year old black New...

One golden wyandotte chicken for free

Thanks for your interest guys - I'm sure she could have flown to your location by herself but somebody from around here already adopted her. She's now part of a new family and probably won't be the big boss anymore.

One golden wyandotte chicken for free

We want to give away the leader of our 5 chickens. She's too mean with the others and eats their feathers. A 2-week long isolation period did not help. Too bad because she's the biggest and prettiest of them all. She's about 9 months old and was raised in a great environment. Come and get her in...

Thanks much Tailfeathers/BalticBabe/PoultryMom/JennsPeeps for the info. I didn't know about Monroe's 2 feed stores. I'll check them out for sure. I'm building a page with pictures of my project and will post it asap...

    Washingtonians

Hi there Washingtonians, Tailfeathers suggested that I introduce myself on this thread, so here we go. My wife and two daughters live in Woodinville and we decided to get some chicks this spring. We also have two cats and on our property we often see mice, rabbits, deer, coons, coyotes, and...

    Greetings from Washington State

Hello everyone! I have been an active (in fact obsessed) reader in the last year and finally registered today. I started building my first coop/run about 5 months ago and probably have another 3 months to go. The coop is about 23 sq ft for 5 std chickens, with a 100 sq ft attached run. Thanks...
