    New Hampshire!

It would be great if you can take one. I'd like to try to find hones for the others before having to do the other. We're in a pretty rural area so we might get lucky. Where are you?

    New Hampshire!

Hi again lakesmaiden. Checked on our newbies the other day. Mostly my boyfriend takes care of them. He's home as he's disabled. He said we had more than 2 roosters. He was right. WE HAVE 5 !!!! I guess we'll be looking for people that want a rooster. We're so disappointed. Knew we were going...

Horny Roo stalking one particular chicken

I'm glad he's not de-feathering her. Pine tar is stinky and she'll get a break if you want. Good luck!

Horny Roo stalking one particular chicken

Absolutely an apron is a good idea. We had to buy them too as we had 3 roosters and only 11 girls at one time. If you're talented you can make them. Another thing would 've to put some pine tar on her. He won't bother her at all til it wears off. Good luck.

They do go out everyday and free range a few times since they stopped laying. The babies are their own from the roosters we had. When the new ones were feathered out we split the coop and a separate run for each group. They are all together now and seem ok. Maybe when the new ones start laying...

The older ones are 3 years old. Last year we used extra lighting but electricity has jumped quite a bit so thats out now. Unfortunately the heat lamp will only be on for the coldest nights now too. Thanks for the help. We'll just wait it out. Don't think the new ones will lay 'till spring...

Do you think it could be a coincidence? We haven't gotten any eggs at all for weeks.

roosters are gone. hens stopped laying.

We recently had to get rid of our roosters as we were getting ready to add 8 new chicks. Didnt want the roosters jumping the young ones. After the roosters were gone the hens stopped laying. When one of the young roosters went to an older hen she chased him away! ( pretty funny though.) Will...
