    To avoid some mess from watering dish....get a paint tray and the paint screen that goes inside the tray. Put the watering dish/bowl into that..when the ducks got bigger i just got a glass vase they could dunk head in and put that onto the paint screen..then the mess goes into the tray...worked...

    oh I see...wattage is related to lumens.....so, does the color of the light matter? does it need to be an actual "daylight" color range to simulate real daylight? or just a bulb (in my case LED) that glows light and chickens don't care the color? I'm glad my wife can't see this post....
