    Disappearing chicks!???

Woo.. where to start. Alright. My Dutch bantam, Bambi, hatched 6 chicks a couple of weeks ago and has been an awesome mother at teaching and protecting them. Last night, my sister found two chicks on her front porch, possibly from her hen, but the hen wasn't anywhere to be seen. She asked if we...

Mama hen just hatched babies, but still has 4 eggs.

They're all hers and all from the same rooster.

I don't have one actively set up, but I do have a heat lamp.

Hi! Been a while since I've been here lol. So, I have a flock, still of course. One of which is a mama, Bambi, and her new chicks. She had been disappearing for a few days, and we finally found out where she was going. Lo and behold, I found her in our abandoned garden outside the backyard...

Father/daughter mating. Should I let them?

I'm not sure how it goes for that either. I got rid of her brothers because they ganged on her and hurt her a lot. Just having her dad, she doesn't get hurt.

Father/daughter mating. Should I let them?

Yes, same breeder. But I adopted them from my sister who could no longer care for them, so info is very limited.

Father/daughter mating. Should I let them?

So would they be decently healthy otherwise? I mostly planned to let Mable have a baby from him (since he's the only rooster that's been around her) but I wasn't going to do numerous generational lines.

Father/daughter mating. Should I let them?

I'm actually unsure of any past lineage with both sides.

Father/daughter mating. Should I let them?

Yeah, I got rid of her brothers ASAP once they started crowing lol because they were harassing her and stressing her out but she seems much happier being with her dad, instead. As far as I'm aware, both father and daughter are healthy but I don't have any information about previous lineage since...

Father/daughter mating. Should I let them?

Hope I chose the correct thread! So, I have Trifle (head roo of the entire flock), his main girl Truffles, and their daughter Mable. Mable will be 1 yr this year. Trifle's already started dancing for Mable and Truffles acts very possessive and gets jealous when Mable wants to lay near him...

    Can't catch runner

That's relieving, thank you! Winnie has thankfully done much better now that the rooster has been given to my sister. Her scratches are fading, she's just still got some nasty marks on her bill.

    Can't catch runner

Do you flip it once you have them under it to be able to pick it up?

    Can't catch runner

I may actually consider this since she's too fast to be stopped by blankets and jackets!

    Can't catch runner

I do not but that'd be an interesting way to do it LOL I just feel bad because she practically screams when she's upset.

    Can't catch runner

I would but she sleeps huddled up in the coop at night, especially because she's broody right now! She's also super fast.
