ok thnks thats what i wanted to knw.. i usually dont eat my chickens cause if they die i dont knw what from ..but she died in my arms with a full crop, an i seen her die... ok ty.. time to put on the cookin pot..

ok so today i went outside and my delaware hen was up in the coop laying down.. her comb went to dark red/purple.. and when i got her out she started to sez and i put her down and she sez one last time and died.. can i still eat her? her crop was full of food . so she was eating and drinking...

well we got are last order in at the feed store. as far as chicks go.. lost one this time and 2 ducks but hey thats not bad at all.. i think it just was ill or something but the other 100 pullets we got in are doing great.. got a question little silver and black chicks with feathers on there...

cochins are a very pretty bird.. and there good egg layers but as far as sitting there more of a drop and go.. best bet is to have a sittin hen u can stick the eggs under..

yes we have been getting in the new Hampshire reds for the last couple weeks.. and they were in the batch we lost as of blk sex l and gold sex l's

and as far as the electrolytes u can us Gatorade for that..and pull his tongue out and see if he has a scale on his tongue that could be a reason why hes not eating much cause its hard for him to get it down..

well today we got a shipment in at the feed store.. 100 chicks 2 brwn leghorns, 2 barred rocks, 2 polish.. 20 ducks.. well 30 chicks dead all the special orders for a lady were dead and there 3.50 each since special order.. 10 ducks dead.. worse shipment yet.. last few weeks everything was fine...

well today we got an order in from ideal with 100 chicks 20 ducks.. and well 30 dead chicks and 10 dead ducks... they shipped them and it took and extra day for us to get them just like other places that ordered from ideal.. its a poor excuse to get a couple weeks of all alive ducks and then...

oh that is soo wonderful.. i had to soak my chickens eyes for bout a week b4 they would stop crusting over..so i hope ur ready for a long process... u will have to do it bout 2 times a day with the eyes..and sweet a quail.. that's cool.. just be careful cause it could be wild ...so i would keep...

well i see it like this..i am a softy for animals and even tho i got a mentally challenged duck im going to give her a shot and see how well she does and if she can be put in with the other flock of ducks i got..and as far as the blind part have u checked closely to see if she has no...

i knw there not chickens but hope its ok i posted this...anyway i work at the local feed store and have talked with ideal more then once...i have been told that this year they have been having so many bad hatches and issues with there birds..from chickens to geese .. and as well as them shipping...
