    I've noticed quite a few extra feathers laying around the yard and pen. I guess my BR's are one of those easy molting breeds! I hope so, because I will laugh at their expense.

    I had tried cat litter pails cut diagonally (two boxes out of one pail) and attached to the rear wall. built a 2 inch lip on the front. my hens just scratch out the pine shavings and straw and lay on the coop floor!
