I got 9 little lavender orps out of 12 eggs in a little giant incubator! Not bad for a first timer! :)
We lost one of the nine, I blame my lack of sleep and inexperience. I had read on another post that they put containers of water with sponges in them to wick the water up to rise the humidity...
I broke away the shell just enough that if it needed to get out it could. It was late so I went to bed and at 4 am got up and he was out as well as one other and a third one was just hatching as I got there.

It's SO stressful! It's my first time and I just don't know what is normal yet! I just posted a new thread, I'm not sure about another one of the eggs. It's been like this for about 12 hours now. I can see its beak, and see that it's breathing. Should I assist?
This egg pipped around midnight last night, this morning around 8-9 o'clock it started the process what zipping (I assume that's what's going on!) but has been like this every since. So we're at or nearing 12 hours. Do I do anything?
