    I just found one of my 2-3 yr old RIR hensdad under a shad tree. There were fire ants all over her face and when i picked her up by her feet, her underside had what appear to be tiny eggs all over the base of her feathers in clusters.     I think that is what has happened. So you put it in the incubator? Did you turn it or just leave it still like you do 3 days before they hatch?

    I have a hen that was sitting on a very large clutch. Two days after the first four hatched, she abandoned the other eggs to go down into the coop with the two chicks that survived. Can I put the rest of the eggs in the incubator to finish out the hatch? Desperate!

    Make sure that you are mixing some grit with their feed and the problem should go away.

    Hi! If you can get to your nest box from the outside, I just pushed mine out of there for about 3 times and she hasn't been roosting in there since. I thought it was a broody hen at first, but she was never in there during the day. HOpe you find a solution!
