    Thanks for the reply and resources! The three that died were killed by our dog. There was an oversight in their yard and, sadly, three got out and met their demise at the hands of the terrier. We've since fortified the area further; I still feel awful.

    We lost three of our eight a few days ago and would like to replace them. The remaining chicks are 6 weeks old. Do we need to add chicks of the exact same age, or can we get chicks in the 2-4 week range?
