Yes it is a small bag. I never thought of checking her ears! She does act dizzy. I wonder what it would look like if she had bugs there--maybe really dirty? Oh and she has been such a joy over the years. She walks up and talks to us, then gently pecks our jeans below the knees, like she's...
Hi, I put her on the medicated chick feed because I was hoping it would be tastier, more nutritious, and easier to swallow than adult pellets, and it's only been about a week or less since I started giving it to her. Because they have free run of the acre (except now she is in a smaller cage...
Hi, thank you so much for trying to help her and me <3 Yes, she has been separated in a pen from the others, as of earlier this morning, but I put her nearby so she could see them. I hope it's far enough away. She has an appetite now, ravenous. However, difficulties I didn't notice before...
Please help me take fast action to figure out what is wrong with Sherrilya the hen! She sits all day except moved spots 3 times yesterday. She has an empty crop. She will hardly eat, but drinks a lot. She is wobbly if she tries to stand up. Her head nods up and down, hinged at the neck, more...
Thank you for your suggestions! I will see if I can find the pattern and youtube you are referring to. I'll post a picture if it works! You are always helping so many of us chickie lovers, thank you!
I'm still trying to find the perfect, or even any chicken diaper that my little girl Sparkle would be comfortable in. I broke my back in 2 places, and am stuck in bed most of the time. My husband brings her to me to purr for me and cuddle. She is truly a gift. However, it would be even nicer...
Awwwww, I'm so sorry too, poor sweet little boy chicken. People that have never been close to chickens don't realize how very wonderful they are. I wish there was a way to comfort you.
Hi Reinsaway,
I made up a diaper, and she seemed to be much happier in it than one that goes over the wings. I think that's because she is still full of pin feathers as she grows to be a teen aged chick (the straps seem to be painful on those pinfeathers), I have to be careful how tight I...
I'm interested, but don't quite understand how the tail pouch stays on. Do you have a pattern? Sure would love to find something that works, and my half grown chick would wear. Thanks ahead of time for any help you might give.
I lost a few of the newly hatched, and almost lost a tween aged chickie when it was 115 degrees here. I found if I let the hose drip into a part of their shady area, the remaining girls would go walk into the cool mud. They seem really content. I just left the hose on drip.
