Thank you all, I was nervous they were some sort of damaged/broken feather. I'm a duck guy and am new to chicks. Chick is healthy and happy and it's clutchmates are all finishing zipping now
I think these are some sort of injuries, but I dont know how she could have gotten injured. Clean pine bedding, very standard brooder and feed.
I am worried they are painful to her. What do I do? I have plenty of standard medical stuff on hand, antibiotics, vet spray, bandages and bleed stop...
I find its best to dump it afterwards. Whenever the water is crystal clear my ducks go nuts for it.
It could be good to invest in a pump that works well with solids so you can get that last bit out.
If you dont want the solids pumped into your plants you could have it pump the pool contents...
Hi everyone, I'm new and I have a question.
I have 9 pekins, 1 drake and 4 hens are Grimaud hybrids, the other 4 are just normal pekins.
My regulars are 7 months old and all 4 have been laying for a month or so now. The grimauds are only 4 months and dont lay yet.
Today I found a HUGE duck...
