    Just keep him in a safe smooth area. Someone told me once to wrap something soft around it so it doesn't get ripped off but I never got the chance to try it.it should slowly shrink. Good luck hopefully you can save him.

    Sadly it did not survive the night. No I did not assist the hatching of it. It took a long time to come out but managed on it's own.thank you for getting back to me. Hopefully the next person to find this post will know what to do.

    I have the same thing on my newly hatched duckling. Did your live...?😭 This one is chirping and moving like the other one did but it's so tiny.
