Feather Shape on Cockerel’s Back
They are absolutely beautiful. I am not sure the feathers are an issue. Probably just a genetic abnormality that makes them catch more light thus more impressive in my personal opinion.- BunnyEberhart

No. It will not spread to your birds. 9r cats, dogs, rabbits, horses, snakes, rats, other random cutie pie pet here. ^_^ all are safe. Just not humans. :oops: i had it in may. Hope you recover quickly and it is mild for you.- BunnyEberhart

From personal experience EE mixes keep you guessing. They are hard to sex because they take on a random collage of traits from each parent. Those beautiful red hens look nearly identical. So i don't know. It is possible. I know my EE with both EE parents has her own color pattern. She is darker...- BunnyEberhart

They are interesting to look at and very cool. But the also stand like a roo.. wings down, like a soldier at attention. If you look at the op's original photos that bird is standing wings back more like a hen. So without clear photos of their bird it is to hard to tell if this is the same...- BunnyEberhart
